A Sweet First Year

About this late that night, a year ago - I couldn't sleep. I was feeling nervous, very happy and excited... so excited - it was so tough to rest my brain and make myself asleep. In a few hours, I was going to put on that beautiful lacey, off-white dress I had been wanted to wear. And just to think about the man I was going to start a new journey with, made my heart melt. On top of all these frenzies, I was a little anxious hoping and praying that everything we've (read: I've) planned for the last few months would go smoothly!

...And it did. Joe and I were married last year on March 22nd at around noon - it was a beautiful and a very, very good day for both of us :) We were so in love, happy and excited being married to each other.

Fast forward, here we are... It's just so hard to believe that it has been a year. One whole year of married life! I can't say that everything was all roses, wines and chocolates but I'm so blessed to be married to Joe - to love and be loved by him and couldn't ask for a better husband. Happy 1st Anniversary, My Love! I'm looking forward to many more....

Sara + Okoth {Boulder Esession}

It was a cold winter day in Colorado when I had the chance to meet Sara for a second time - this time, for an engagement session. Although the sun was out earlier that day, it was still so cold - but that's Colorado weather for you. However, I enjoyed getting to know them better in person and through my camera.

Sara and Okoth have a baby girl together, Sophia - she is such a cute thing! Well because of this reason, why not include her in the photo session, right? :)

Sara, Okoth, thanks for being such great troopers in the cold. I am looking forward to your wedding day in July! - I know that it's going to be beautiful! :)

Annalesa + Jeremy | Engaged!

I first met Annalesa sometime last year when she started attending the church I went to in Sun Valley, Southern California. We rarely saw each other again after that but we exchanged our photo blogs since she's also a photographer. Then we got reconnected at some points and she told me that she had moved from California to Colorado as well to be with her boyfriend who's in the military.

We exchanged mails after emails...led to the news that she had gotten engaged to Jeremy! I couldn't be happier for her and the cool thing about it, she asked me to photograph their engagement session. I was honored and excited for it. They picked the Garden of Gods in Colorado Springs as this was also the place where they ended getting married at on October 19th.

Anna and Jeremy first met in Full Sail University, Florida a few years back. But nothing outside friendship happened. They finally reconnected again through Facebook and then their relationship blossomed.

Congratulations again, Anna and Jeremy for your marriage! As you'll be moving and traveling to different places after this week, I hope for safe trips for the both of you. May love, joy and God's blessings and guidance be upon you guys as you live your life's together. Also - thank you Jeremy for your service and dedication to this country!

Baby Colten | Newborn Session

I had the chance photographing baby Colten recently. He's the son of Krystyna and Mark - whose wedding I photographed earlier this year. I was glad being able to reconnect with them while they were here last week on their regular Colorado visit from Texas. Colten was only 4 weeks old when I photographed him. He is such a sweet little boy and oh so adorable! Congrats to the new parents! :)

Ari + Heather | Wedding 10.10.2009

In the quietness of the unusual early-fall wintry air and snows on the ground, Heather looked outside from her room's window in Lost Antler Ranch that Saturday noon. Her face showed a lot of emotions - a mix of excitement, happiness and being nervous at the same time. It's a day where she is getting married to Ari. Yes, Ari. Ah...it makes her happy just to hear his name, to think about Ari. She took deep breaths so many times trying to calm herself down imagining the thought of, in a couple hours, she will be married to the love of her life.

Congrats again Ari and Heather - you guys are so amazingly sweet to each other. I loved seeing a glimpse of your relationship on your wedding day and can't stop thinking about how special your wedding day was. Thank you very much for letting me document it! Together you guys make such an adorable couple - I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! Also, lastly but not the least, I want to thank you Ari for his service and dedication to our country!
