Baby Colten | Newborn Session

I had the chance photographing baby Colten recently. He's the son of Krystyna and Mark - whose wedding I photographed earlier this year. I was glad being able to reconnect with them while they were here last week on their regular Colorado visit from Texas. Colten was only 4 weeks old when I photographed him. He is such a sweet little boy and oh so adorable! Congrats to the new parents! :)

Colten got a little fussy at one point but dad came to rescue and he fell asleep in dad's arms - it's so cute!

Ari + Heather | Wedding 10.10.2009

In the quietness of the unusual early-fall wintry air and snows on the ground, Heather looked outside from her room's window in Lost Antler Ranch that Saturday noon. Her face showed a lot of emotions - a mix of excitement, happiness and being nervous at the same time. It's a day where she is getting married to Ari. Yes, Ari. Ah...it makes her happy just to hear his name, to think about Ari. She took deep breaths so many times trying to calm herself down imagining the thought of, in a couple hours, she will be married to the love of her life.

The day went on flawlessly, as Heather walked down to be married to Ari that afternoon - Ari's face brightened to see his bride for the first time. A moment later - they signed their ketubah, shared their first kiss and pronounced husband and wife.

Dawn + Sam | Wedding 10.05.2009

On Oct 5th, Dawn and Sam eloped and were married in Estes Park, CO. Although it was the smallest wedding I've ever photographed - 'twas definitely a simple, nice wedding nonetheless. Dawn and Sam - congratulations again and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Claddagh rings!! (Dawn told me that The Claddagh ring is their thing). The Claddagh ring is a "traditional Irish ring given as a token of love or worn as a wedding ring." (ref: Wikipedia)

Initially, they were going to have the ceremony up in the Lily Lake area but it was so chilly and windy that day - they opted out on that option and got married by the fireplace at the hotel they were staying.

Although there ceremony plan didn't take place as planned, we still think it was a good idea to drive up to the Lily Lake area to take some photos of the newlyweds there. It was SO cold but no regrets - it was a beautiful area and worth fighting the cold for ;)
