Green Life Update - Mid Season

As some of you might know - aside from taking photos and doing normal daily stuff, Joe and I raise our veggie/fruit garden starting early this year. Time goes on and our garden has been paying us back a whole lot this summer. We harvested fresh, sweet veggies almost everyday.

I have to say that raising our own veggies has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. It's simply amazing and definitely exciting to witness the progress of our garden from a seed that grows into plants and then into fruition. I say this again and again but this whole process makes me stop and take time to appreciate simple things in life that sometime I miss in the midst of my busyness.

So, whatever circumstances you are in your life, I hope you find something you appreciate/be thankful of - whether in small or big ways. One thing for me is my sweet, growing garden.

Nini + Tom | Wedding 08.08.2009

The bride-to-be looked calm and collected that morning when she had breakfast with her future in-laws and the groom-to-be. Nini has planned all things necessary for her wedding day but with ease and no fuss. She wants everything to be small and simple. Actually, she didn't want to have any celebration at all in the first place. She would have been content just being with the love of her life and be married at the courthouse. But her family and friends persuaded and finally convinced them to celebrate their union. So here they are, at the beginning of the new journey together.

It was a beautiful wedding day, surprisingly nice and cooler weather in Vegas. Family and friends traveled from different states and countries to be in Las Vegas, Nevada that day - to celebrate with Nini and Tom.

Happy Birthday, Darling...

It was circa May 2008, Joe and I went up to the mountain in Azusa, CA. He brought a guitar along and serenading me by the river. I sang along some with him. Just some, because he was deeply into his country tunes and me...I'm just a city kinda girl who don't have much clue about country music.

While he was busy picking and strumming his guitar, I was also busy pressing the shutter of my camera - capturing him and those sweet moments. This is my fave photo I took of him that day. He also said it's pretty much the best picture anyone has ever taken of him.

The significance of that day is that it was the first time he told me that he wanted to be with me, very much. It made me happy hearing that - my heart flutters. And he has always been with me ever since. Time flies, season changes. Having him as a husband is one of the greatest blessings God has ever given me in life. I love and enjoy being a wife to him and having him by my side. We've just started in this journey together but whenever, wherever, whatever...as long as it's with my husband.

Happy Birthday, Darling...I love you.

Mom and Daughter: Lori + Jamie

I went to the Colorado State University area that evening meet Lori and Jamie. Lori lives hundred miles from her daughter Jamie and this time, she was visiting and wanted photos with her dear daughter. She said she hasn't had any photos done ever since Jamie was 3.

I found this beautiful park in the CSU campus area and seriously, it was heavenly for the photo shoot...

The Traupes

The Traupes' family session I covered last week was so much fun. There was lots of laugh hanging out just a couple hours with this family. Everybody was so happy and friendly. The daughter of the family, Candy is Joe's co-worker and she requested a family photo session as a gift to her parents who celebrated their wedding anniversary. Good call ;) Thanks Candy!

Wishing you many more years of marriage bliss, Mr. and Mrs. Traupe - thanks for having us over!

Onto the pics:
