A Kitten Person

While I wouldn't call myself a cat-person in general, I recently realized that kittens can be one of the cutest pets to have. I was amazed to find out that they can be adorably fluffy and oh so lovey dovey.

My new friend Anne is a super talented black-and-white animal photographer in the area and this is Anne's 7 weeks old barn kitten. With her permission, I took quick snaps at this little guy/girl (not sure of the gender yet) - this kitten also doesn't have a name yet but looking at its color, I'd say the name "Oreo" would be appropriate ;)

I can pat and play with him all day basically! :)

***Anne wishes to own more barn kittens so if you or anybody you know would like to give a kitten or two away, please email me at and I will be sure to let her know. Thanks :)

Remembering and Honoring Fathers

My hand clung on his arm. My mind was toss back and forth between the past and the future. This is the day I dreamt and prayed for over the years. My dad's health hasn't been the greatest for the last couple years so I pleaded God, hard and fervently - for this day to come where he would be well enough and healthy and able to walk with me when I got married. And God listened to my requests.

I was caught up in so much emotion and choked up before/when I walked down the aisle. It was a combination of gratitude, exuberant joy, my deep affection toward my dad and being in love with the man I was going to marry. It was an all-round perfect day. Here's a photo of me and my Father on my wedding day.

Papi - thank you for raising me, protecting me, providing to our family and loving mami the way you do for more than 35 years. You have been and always be a great role model to me and my hero. I love you with all my heart.

Happy Father's day.

After trying to resist the force of the twitter-craze on the online realm, I finally gave in and signed up with Twitter a week ago or so.

I figured I'll see what the fuss is all about. Maybe I can then join all the cool crowds out there ;)

Feel free add me on twitter if you're interested, I reserved a corner for myself there:

Krystyna + Mark | Wedding 06.06.2009

In the midst of unfriendly Colorado weather in June, that day was surprisingly bright and sunny as it can be - it was just perfect. Krystyna/Mark and her family + friends have been staying at Lost Antler Ranch - Estes Park, CO for the last few days. Most of them came out and flew to Colorado to gather and celebrate with Krystyna and Mark as they exchanged vows and took each other as husband and wife.

Krystyna had that bride's glow about her that afternoon when I saw her again since our last e-session meeting. She looks happy and in love and just seems to be enjoying the day. No stress whatsoever - she wants their wedding day to be low-key and simple. But it's nothing short of amazing. The entire day was just beautiful - a lot of emotions, love between family and friends, laughter and partying at the end. I was just excited to be there and witness all these.

A beautiful, elegant bride...

and Mark doesn't look too bad either! (taken by Joe)

Then came the ceremony... it was full of emotions - gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside ;) It's easy to see that they are totally in love with each other! ;)

After taking several photos of the happy couple together, we moved on to the Meadow House for the dinner reception. Of course, this means... details, details, details!

Even the speeches/toast from the guests were so heartwarming. These two are loved much by their family and friends - what a great couple indeed!

Ah... love this one - a shot from their first dance.

Then the party began... with lots of dancing and booze!

Thanks Krystyna and Mark for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day. You two are a wonderful, loving couple and I'm glad you found each other - congratulations again and I wish you a lifetime of many, many happiness together!!

***I also would like to thank Sarah Meyer from Lost Antler Ranch for the great job she did on overseeing and putting everything together! :)

Family Reunion 05.23.09 | Ft. Collins, CO

I had a family reunion coverage a couple weeks ago at this gorgeous house with an amazing view. Eventhough the sky was overcast that Saturday and I was watching the weather by the minutes - we managed to steal some shots with different family members in between drizzle :) Thank you again to the Yahnkee family for having us over during your special family gathering. Your home is an absolute beautiful and fun place to live! :)

Started off with a somewhat bright sky that evening.

Some relatives...a more formal shot.

And a more relaxed one...a little laugh wouldn't hurt the camera! :)

The kind hosts...and their grown-up children in the next several photos.

Thanks to Joe who came out and clicked the shutters along with me. He captured this one - I liked it a lot.

All Together :)

Then it gets darker by the next hour... the view from the house is simply beautiful and so serene regardless...

By the time we left the house, it was pouring pretty hard. Though I managed to get a shot of front view of this amazing house :)
