Vita : Through My Eyes

She and I are first cousins. We didn't grow up together eventhough we used to live in the same city back in my home-country. Well we sometimes saw each other in the family gathering but that's about it; no playing together, no hanging out between her family and my family - we were just like faraway relatives back then. We lost contact for years, but not until that one day she emailed me when I used to live back in Maryland. To rant about something - yes that's right, ranting :) Even so, I appreciated her initiative to make contact with me.

Little did I know where life took me and I ended up moving to California a few years ago. And here we were - long lost cousins! Friendship and sisterhood are just never hard with her...thanks to her bubbly, friendly and warm personality - we have become best friends in no times. It's funny how I can see some of my personality traits in her - it's just so cool!

This past week was her birthday and I told her I wanted to take photos for her. The model instinct in her just agreed and so available in such a short notice. So here I present you, my lovely cousin Febrita :)

I love her expressions here!

Grateful for you and love you Sister :) - thanks for always be there for me these last few years.

Randomness: Skiing

I have been loving skiing ever since my two best friends introduced me to it a couple years ago in Indiana. I'm in no way an avid skiier, however it's one of my favorite sports and I don't even do lots of sports anyway. So it's a big thing for me! :)

I will be going night skiing for the first time at Mountain High in Wrightwood, CA today. I usually go during the day so this night skiing event will be another cool experience. I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna be all sore tomorrow but it will definitely be worth the soreness! :) I can't wait to hit the slopes!

Anyways, have a great weekend Everyone!

Grace: Maternity

Just a few days ago, on January 29th the big news spreaded out at the office I work - my friend Grace finally gave birth to her twin girls - Gianna and Genevieve (Aren't they such beautiful names? I just love girls' names!) Thank God to hear that mother and two babies are doing well and healthy. I can't wait to meet her precious bundles of joy in person! (and take sweet pictures of them, of course! :)

Well, back-tracking to the month of December - I had the chance to take a few pictures of Grace and her husband Chris at their babies' shower. Grace was such a pretty and a glowing mom-to-be. And for the sake of documenting the season of Grace's maternity days - I'd like to share a few images I took from that day at the Shower.

Congratulations Grace and Chris for the new additions to the family!

Beautiful Grace

Grace and Chris are preppin' well for the arrival for their daughters ;)

Jennifer's Bridal Shower 01.26.08

**Note: Special THANKS to Nathan who helped me with directions on how to find this place that morning - I couldn't have been there without your kindness on guiding me on the phone! :) (Lia + directions = not very good friends! I need a GPS! ;)

I had a fun opportunity to join my friend Tracy who hosted a bridal shower for her college friend Jennifer and took fun photos of the event. After a few twists and turns of careful organization, it was finally happening in the cozy patio of Blue Dahlia Cafe in the Japan Town of Los Angeles. Jennifer is getting married in March and I have no doubt that she will be a glowing bride!

I know this event would be a fun one the minute Tracy shared a tidbit detail to me that she asked the attendees to bring their own fave panty to represent each's personality. What a creative idea! Good job Tracy - you're a wonderful host! Beautiful bride, pretty ladies and girly details = good time for me! Thanks Girls for having me over - it was definitely a pleasure to be there. And of course CONGRATS Jen for your upcoming union!
