Sara {Johnstown Seniors Photo Session}

I had the opportunity to photograph my "official" first senior session ever with Sara. She made my work easy! Not only Sara is sweet and lovely, She definitely was a beautiful subject to photograph and easy to work with. I kinda forgot how it feels like to be a teen, so young and fresh :) I had to mention that it was chilly and the sun was hiding behind the clouds that day. And right after we were done shooting - I saw some white flurries came down from the sky. But have no fear - we got some great shots and definitely a fun session! Would love to do more Seniors sessions in the future!

Anyways, early congrats to Sara for her upcoming graduation in May! She is going for a nursing degree next. Blessings and best wishes, Sara! Thanks for letting me photograph you :)

I know I have not posted in a while, but I am here, doing well. Next week I will be photographing my first wedding in 2012! Yeah!! There will be more pretty pics, cute couples, fabulous brides and grooms featured on here in the days and months to come, I promise. But for now, let me share with you a cute pic of my own little girl. She is wearing an Indonesian traditional fabric/dress called Batik. She is almost 13 months now...walking everywhere and making cute baby sound. It's just so adorable :) Truly a joy to have her around! Well, alright, I can go on and on the whole day about her, so I better stop ;)

Addison Turned ONE!

First birthday is definitely a big milestone in a baby's life to celebrate! And I had the pleasure of photographing Addison's first birthday party in Denver a couple weeks ago. She is just one of the most adorable babies ever, not to mention that she is also a very good and calm little girl. My baby would start crawling away now whenever I try taking pics of her these days.

Amanda + David {Boulder Engagement Session}

How many couples you know these days are high-school sweethearts? Other than my parents generations, I don't find them too often these days. Well Amanda and David is two of those people who fall into this category. They met, started dating in highschool and have been staying together ever since. I'm glad for the opportunity to photograph this lovely couple - they were great and willing to do anything for the shots! And oh, Amanda has to be one of the sweetest girls you'd ever meet :)

I look forward to photograph their wedding next year in Arvada. Congrats Amanda and David, thank you again for spending that afternoon with me - I enjoyed this session so much and editing the photos, hope you guys too!

Irene + Johan {Pasadena Wedding 09.11.11}

September 11th, 2011. I waited for months to actually get to this day. The bride, Irene whom I met and became friend with in college - finally met her prince charming and they tied the knot last month in Los Angeles area. I could not be happier for them that they have found each other! There were so much love and emotions displayed on this special day - I feel lucky to be there and appreciative of the opportunity to capture it. Glad to see some familiar faces too at this wedding, a fun small college reunion, that was!

Cheers to Irene and Johan! As Indonesians say to newlyweds, "Selamat menempuh hidup baru! Tuhan berkati!" :)

Grisafe Family {Fontana Family Session}

Before my vacation - during my brief visit to Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to visit and photograph one of my old friends Grace and her beautiful family. We caught up with each other and had fun hanging out + taking photos.

I was very glad to see them again. These girls, Gianna and Genevieve, are so special to me - I guess I can say that I started photographing them when they were still in their mommy's tummy years ago - not physically of course, and then different times over the years. They have grown a lot and gets more beautiful everytime I see them :)

Ava {Fort Collins Kids Session}

Little Ava is an active, bright eyed blue eyes girl who is almost two years old I had the chance to photographed just a couple weeks ago. I learned that at this age stage, one can only follow them around and try to sneak a lot of pictures of them while they are busy doing something :) Good thing I have a fast camera so I think I accomplished what I wanted to do! A couple weekend ago I had a photo session with my beautiful client Lisa. I photographed Lisa and Charlie's wedding last summer and Lisa shared the news to me a few months ago that they are expecting a little one - she's due in just a few weeks away from now!

Lisa is as glowing as she can be as an expectant mother and her baby bump is just so cute! I am happy for both of them and can't wait to meet Lucy as I will photographing her sweet, beautiful little face whenever she arrives :)

Kozue + Michael {Broomfield Wedding 06.25.11}

It all started a few years ago when Kozue (Cozzy) met and got to know Mike as a conversation partner in Japan, her home-country. What was intended to be a studious matter, suddenly got mixed with the matter of the hearts. Sparks flew, attractions grew and the rest is history! They first promised to be husband and wife in a civil ceremony in Japan early last year.

Shortly afterwards, Cozzy moved to the US be with her new husband and they had planned to have a marriage ceremony and celebration just these past few weeks. Friends, family travelled from far, far away to celebrate this happy day with them.

I witnessed such a fun, happy, emotional moments all in one day and felt grateful that I was able to photograph such a special couple on their special day. Thanks Cozzy and Mike, for your kindness and welcoming me into your life this way. I hope someday you look back into these photos and they will bring such sweet memories to treasure for a long time.

Almost toward the end of her walking down the aisle, Cozzy smiled at her mom on the right. I thought that was such a sweet gesture.

Married! (Again, I caught Cozzy smiling at her mom when they were just announced husband and wife - definitely speaks volume about their mother-daughter relationship :)

The maid of honor, Tomi, really stirred up different emotions with her speech! She made the bride (and herself) laughed and cried almost the same time! ;)

Cozzy 'surprised' her parents that came all the way from Japan by reading the Japanese-style appreciation note she wrote for them. It was very touching, I totally had a hard time holding back tears myself!

Congrats again you both and I wish you lots love and happiness in your marriage! :)

{Updated post}

I finally was over at the Johnston's again to photograph their family and a few more pics of this beautiful baby girl. She was more than a month old this time..but still pretty much a newborn, tiny and precious :)

The big brother Jack, whom I photographed a couple times before, is almost 2 years old and an active little boy! Time flies, indeed. What a privilege it is to photograph this family over the years! I just love it.

I remember mentioning years ago, how I loved the way Beth is with Jack and now with Lily...especially since I am now a mother myself, moments like this with your child, is so simply precious and priceless.

Who doesn't like bright blue eyes? LOVE!

I guess the photo session tired the kids out after a while! :) a couple shots of the family to end the session that day. Thank you again Beth and Jeff for welcoming me to your life to capture all these with my camera. I hope you treasure these even more for days to come!

Michaela and I connected in an unusual way. She knows somebody that happens to be my friend's friend and found out that I was going to be in LA a few weeks ago. So, after many email conversations between us, I finally met her that morning in person.

Michaela is an aspiring filmmaker - she is young, passionate and has a calm, easygoing confidence about her. These characteristics shine through my photo session with her. She definitely brought her experiences with a huge camera by posing fearlessly in front of my lens - it was such a breeze photographing her. I just loved it!

Irene + Johan {Los Angeles Engagement Session}

When I heard the news that Irene got engaged (through a mutual friend), I was very happy and excited for her - a congratulation was in order, for sure. We went to college together in Arizona and were in the same circle of friends. A few months afterwards, I got even more excited when she contacted and decided to book me to photograph her wedding in September! What an honor it is and definitely connects with me in a personal level as a friend and a photographer.

Long story short, Irene and her new fiance Johan flew from Kansas to California to shoot her engagement session with me and we had a half-day engagement session in different places in Los Angeles. I always love the different settings LA has to offer and this couple was such great sports for it too.

Christiana + Brad {The-Married-Folk Session}

I have said this before that I have some of the most awesome clients on earth. Christiana and Brad are what I am talking about! From their first photo session a couple years back - they not only appreciate what I do, but also went out and told her friends and family about my work. I just can't appreciate them enough for their support and love!

Christiana contacted me a little more than a week ago that she wanted some new pictures of both of them to send to their family and of course, the pleasure is mine! Connie + Andy {Denver Wedding 03.12.2011}

Have you ever been to a wedding where everybody just loves and cares about each other? Well I can honestly say that Connie and Andy's wedding a few weeks back in Denver was one of the best weddings I have ever photographed, just because of that reason. Their friends and family, who flew from all over the place - seem to enjoy each other very much. They were so excited for the bride and groom - their celebration were so obvious throughout the day.

In retrospect, both Connie and Andy love their family very much as well. She mentioned they would like the priority to be set on the photos of the families and then them, secondary. Of course, she said - not neglecting to relish the special moments.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day, Connie and Andy. I felt blessed to be able to get a little glimpse of how loving your family is. Joe and I totally enjoyed a brief conversation with your grandma too - we think that she was really sweet :) Congratulations again and hope you both are enjoying your new journey together!

Baby Update: Growing and Happy!

She is going to be three months old next week! Where did the time go?? It feels like it was just a few weeks ago that she came into our world! I mean, really? Three months already!? Amazing how time passed by so quickly - she is growing by leaps and bounds. It's such a mixed feeling, while I'm glad that she is growing and a happy baby - I just simply love newborns and wish I can have her being small for a long time!

Regardless, we're enjoying this little bundle of joy soooo much and now that she started smiling a lot and cooing.. it has just been so much fun! :)

Vita + Shannon {Los Angeles Wedding 02.05.2011}

Joe and I flew to Southern California a few weekend ago to attend/photograph Vita and Shannon's wedding in Pasadena (about 10 miles northeast from downtown Los Angeles). As you might remember from the e-session I did for them last year - Vita is my own cousin, so this particular wedding was a special one for me to attend and photograph. Friends and family came from near and far to celebrate the beginning of their new life together.

The day started perfectly with a nice cool temperature (gotta love California weather) and...I saw a pair of sky-high purple shoes. Ohh...we're off to a fun start! ;)

A Month Later...

Oh goodness! Here is my long overdue post.

I am well and alive and do feel like I have just the right excuse in the world for not posting earlier. I mean, between changing diapers to catching sleep to cuddling with my newborn - it can be tough to keep up with the internet these days! ;) so here's a couple photos of my sweet Laurene to make up for it...she turned a month *new* recently :) at birth, she was an 8 lbs 9 ounces healthy baby! No wonder I felt so heavy at the end of my pregnancy! Although she has lost weight afterwards (common for newborns) - she has been catching up to her initial weight nowadays and look just as healthy. Joe and I are sooo in love with her - she's definitely a joy and precious gift from God to us!

The Anticipation of My Bestest Christmas Gift Ever...

A couple days ago, Joe and I picked and cut our first real Christmas tree at a nearby farm. After a couple of hours of setting it up, decorating it with lights and ornaments - at the end, I was quite pleased by my decorating taste and skills! ;) I mean, take a look at the photo below...not too bad for a first-timer, right? :)

On another note, I'm now 40 weeks 5 days preggo (round and heavy I tell ya) and apparently my baby must've thought that mommy's belly is the best place to be... it's warm, cozy and there is more than enough food around - who would want to leave!?? Well, if my sweet little baby (who perhaps is not so little anymore by now) doesn't come out one of these days - I'm scheduled to be induced by Friday the 17th. So, prayers are much appreciated and the anticipation mixed with excitement and anxiety is running high. I'm so looking forward to see and touch those little fingers and toes and hold that little being in my arms! :)

Baby Update: Home Stretch!

Well here we go, People... I'm about 38 weeks 4 days preggo and baby is officially only 10 more days away from being born. Although, I really prefer to be in labor sooner than that. I mean I'm just...what shall I say - very round and uncomfortable by this time. And most importantly, SO looking forward to meeting our little darling!

I went in for my last scan yesterday and looks like my little precious is gonna be quite a chunker! (eeks!) Estimated weight is about 7.5 lbs now and since I still have about more than a week to go - the ultrasound tech said that I might end up getting a 8 pounder. Oh my...I was hoping for a 6 lbs baby but as long as the baby is healthy, ya know!? :) Just say prayers for me, will you? :)

Family Photo Session {Loveland Mountain Park, CO}

I love kids and beside photographing weddings, taking pictures of little kids makes me happy. This year I got a chance to photograph one of my client's family again - Taryn emailed me a few months ago and we planned a family photo session around this time of year. Taryn and Brad have such cute, expressive kids - I can go on photographing them hours and hours! And their nice, colorful, coordinated outfits....the credit has to go to mom, of course! ;)

Family Photo Session {Fort Collins, CO}

A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to do a family session for one of my in-laws family (Nick, Jessica and Glenna). Nick is Joe's oldest brother and the bigger/taller version of Joe. When Joe and I got married, a few of our guests had told me that they've almost mistaken Nick for Joe :) lol.

I was particularly excited to shoot in this early fall days. Fall foliage is just simply gorgeous and the air is just so cool and crisp. Love it! And of course, with objects like this good looking family - I was content! ;) Thanks Nick and Jessica - it was good hanging out with you guys again, I hope you all enjoy these!! ♥

Baby-Bump Update!

Haven't had much personal update here on my blog... well here I am at 31 weeks along. One word: HUGE! Baby is growing and I can feel a lot of kicks and movements from the inside out these days. I can't believe it's only about 9 more weeks before I'll get to hold a tiny baby in my arms. So excited - can't wait til December! :)

Family Session {Lyons, CO}

A little while ago last month I photographed this beautiful family in Lyons, CO. Carol had told me that she wanted the photo session to be done at their house. What a wise decision that was - the surrounding views of where they live was very nice out there with the beautiful mountains in the background. And the lush Russian sage in front of their house! purple is one of my fave colors, so it worked and I totally loved it! ;)

Kelly was among the brides who hired me first last year to photograph her wedding this year. And it turned out that her wedding was the last wedding I photographed this year due to my growing belly ;) So the day that was finally here, I was looking forward to it.

Although according to the calendar, it should've been a closer date to Autumn but Travis and Kelly's special day was a sunny, hot day throughout - yet undoubtedly a beautiful wedding day. I just loved the warm fall colors they incorporated to their wedding day. Congrats again Travis and Kelly and best wishes, thank you for giving me the honor of photographing your special day! :)

The church Travis and Kelly got married at was this old, vintage church located out in the prairie - it was just really neat!

In the middle of the ceremony, Hailey the little flower girl decided to walk away from it! it was funny and really cute! I followed her and she ended up going up the stairs and found a good spot for herself :)

Maggie + Porty {Los Angeles Wedding 09.04.2010}

Back in Los Angeles. Maggie and Porty's special day was finally here. A story of two sweet people who love and trust God. And God Himself was the One who brought them and their love story together. Friends and family were so incredibly supportive and loving; I can feel how close-knit they all were. At the end of the day, I felt blessed to be able to come all the way from Colorado to witness and photograph their wedding.

Thank you again Maggie and Porty for having us captured your wedding day - we share in your joy! I praised God for bringing you two together - much love, grace and blessings as you two live your lifes as one! :)

Family Session {Estes Park, CO}

Miriam contacted me a couple months ago to take photographs of their first family reunion ever. Ten adults and eleven kids travelled from different places for a week together and I can imagine all the fun they have! On top of that, the late afternoon/early evening summer light was incredibly gorgeous up at the Lost Antler Ranch in Estes Park, CO and that made me happy! ;)

Emily is a young woman with a good head on her shoulders - that was my first impression when I met her for the first time for our photo session. She is a junior in college, majored in economy + journalism, needed some photos for her media-related career that she is currently pursuing. I was happy to oblige and she made my job so easy. I mean - she is lively, bright-eyed and has smiles that would brighten a room up :)

It was really nice to meet with you, Emily. Within the short time we spent together, I enjoyed learning a little bit about you and getting a little peek into your life and dreams. You go girl - I wish you a great rest of college years and the best of everything!! I hope someday you'll be living your own dreams, too! :)

Becky + Anson {Greeley Wedding 08.06.2010}

Becky and Anson first met when they were still in highschool... they have been together ever since and were married earlier this month in Greeley, CO. The wedding was definitely a fun and colorful affair. It was a gorgeous day and I just loved the fun colors Becky picked for her wedding - fresh and lively! (Good job Becky!) I was blessed to be a part of it and being able to capture these special moments for them.

Congrats again Becky and Anson - Joe and I had a great time at your wedding, thanks for allowing us to be a part of it. We wish you even more happiness, love and blessings in your married life. I hope you enjoy these images! Talk to you soon! :)

Sara + Okoth (Denver Wedding 07.30.2010}

A couple seasons has passed since I photographed Sara and Okoth's e-session last winter and that big day finally came for these two. Sara and Okoth tied the knot in Evans Chapel in Denver University - the day started nicely but ended up raining just right after the ceremony ended (which reminded me of my own wedding day--it was pouring rain the whole day). But rain or shine, it didn't matter that much compared to the happiness and emotions this lovely couple had throughout their wedding day.

Rachel + Jeremy {Loveland Wedding 07.17.2010}

Joe and I recently photographed Rachel and Jeremy's intimate wedding at the Sylvan Dale Ranch in Loveland, CO. It was sweltering but the day went nothing short of perfection. Rachel and Jeremy were so in love with each other and their three girls - it was such a sweet unity day to witness.

I started photographing the girls getting ready in their bridal room and thank you again to Chanel and Sara from the JR Design Salon at Sugar Mill Productions for their wonderful make-up work - Rachel looked absolutely stunning that day!

At The Half-Way Mark

Some of you might or might have not known that Joe and I are expecting our first baby!! We are so excited, happy and nervous at the same time to be first time parents. I am officially 20 weeks along today and our first baby is due around the second week of December :) Things have been great in general and we are so grateful to God for this growing little treasure inside. We are in the process of picking out names, planning our nursery and of course, thinking about cute outfits.. (well, the last one is more me than Joe ;)

And the more exciting thing is that - I will have my next ultrasound this coming week and probably get to find out my baby's gender!! Joe doesn't want to know the gender until birth and on the contrary, I can NOT wait to find out. So I'll keep it a secret from him if I find out and perhaps just keep it a secret altogether from other people too so that my husband won't end up knowing from other people as well.

And here's a snapshot of our baby's first picture ever. Just thought I'd share - it came from my first pregnancy ultrasound at around 8 weeks.

Crystal + Tyler {Fort Collins Wedding 07.10.2010}

It was all started when they were working together at the same company. It wasn't love at the first sight for Crystal, but Ty was persistent in pursuing her overtime. She eventually agreed to go out him. As a result, they have been together ever since...and that was a while back. On July 10, 2010 - they exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends to love each other in any circumstances.

Thank you Crystal and Ty, for letting me be a part of your wedding day and capture these memories for you guys with my camera. I wish both of you a lifetime of love and happiness as you navigate life together. Cheers!

Fort Collins Family Session: Jack

I photographed Jack and his family last year when he was a relatively a newborn (a few months old). He was little and not really sure if he liked my camera then.

Fast forward to July 2010 - he is not a baby anymore and turning ONE! (Where did the time go?) Jack's mom, Beth wanted to do another photo session for her little guy and of course I was happy to do this for them. We went to a park nearby their residence and I was happy that Jack seemed to like me and my camera a lot more than last time ;) just kidding! In all seriousness, he's grown cuter + bigger and glad that I was able to take more pics for them to mark his one year milestone. Happy birthday Jack! :)

Maggie + Porty {Los Angeles Esession}

As I mentioned previously, I had another photo session during my visit in Los Angeles with another couple - Maggie and Porty. I've known Maggie for a while now since we attended the same church when I was in the LA area. After I moved to Colorado, we would keep in touch via emails once in a while. Sometime last year, Maggie had shared with me via email that she is in a relationship with Porty.

It was a thanksgiving dinner in 2007 hosted by the Filipino fellowship at church that kinda connected them for the first time. She remembered him being very friendly and he had said something really nice to her that caught her attention off-guard that night. Maggie quietly realized that she has maybe started developing a crush at him and specifically prayed that she would meet him again someday. But nothing happened afterward...

Until God answered her specific prayer when a mutual friend reintroduced them again...in two years. But this time, it was more than just a friendly conversation and Porty started to pursue her to begin their journey together in a courtship. After that, the rest is history - they are getting married this September in the LA area! God is good, indeed - I'm excited and sharing in their joy! I can't wait and am even more excited when Maggie asked me to be their photographer. I'm looking forward to see you guys again in a couple months! :)

Vita + Shannon {Long Beach Esession}

Last week, I had the chance to go back to Los Angeles area for a fun trip visiting friends and family. Some of you knew that I lived in the LA area before moving here to this Mile High State. The trip was even funner because I got the opportunity to do a couple photo sessions while I was there.

The first photo session took place in Long Beach area and this was exceptionally special, because the couple I photographed was my own cousin Vita and her new fiance, Shannon. They are going to tie the knot early next year and I'll have the honor - as a cousin, sister and friend, to serve them with my camera on their wedding day :)... but of course they will have to bribe me with lots of sushi dinner beforehand... just kidding! ;)

Travis + Kelly {Ault Esession}

About a week ago, I had the chance of photographing the engagement session for Travis and Kelly. Since the beginning, Kelly told me what kind of setting she wanted for her photo session with her sweetheart. And when she suggested a grassland area in Ault, CO - I was really happy to oblige. I just love it whenever my clients come up with ideas of their own and get creative for the photo session, because really, your photos should represent who you are as a person (or a couple) and your personality.

And before we hit the grassland, I spotted some cool spots in the area so I requested a few shots....

And without much delay, we finally shoot at the grassland area..just right before the storm came. It was a gorgeous location!

Charlie + Lisa {Estes Park Wedding 05.28.2010}

It was a sunny Colorado day when Joe and I drove up to Estes Park...and the mountains looked so beautiful that morning. I was really looking forward to shoot Charlie and Lisa's wedding. Lisa and I connected a few times before her wedding - learning more about her relationship and hearing her wedding planning made me so excited to photograph her special day.

Friends and family flew from all over the country (mostly from the East Coast) to be with them that day and witness this beautiful couple exchanging "I do's" at the gorgeous Della Terra Mountain Chateau. It was a whole day packed with lots of laughter, emotions, fun and celebration - a beautiful day, truly.

Thank you for having us there and the privilege of letting us be a part of your special day, Charlie and Lisa! You guys are wonderful and my camera loves you two ;) Congrats again! Can't wait to have another photo session with you guys soon. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I loved taking them. Cheers!

Heidi + Rob {Sterling Wedding 05.08.2010}

I have never met Heidi and Rob prior to their wedding day. Referred by her niece who's also my client - Heidi contacted me a few months back and after exchanging a couple of emails - she went ahead and booked me to photograph her wedding. Just like that, and I felt honored to be a part of her special day. We traveled to Sterling, CO on a Saturday in early May. Heidi told me several times that she 'missed' the bride gene so she didn't have much clue about planning a wedding. Respectfully, I think she was wrong. The wedding turned out perfectly - nice, simple and fun. And it really made my work so easy to photograph a couple in love.

Congrats again Heidi and Rob! It was great to finally meet both of you and photograph your special day - I wish you love, happiness and health as you maneuver life together. I will see you guys again at your niece's wedding in the near future! :)

Krystyna + Mark {Wedding Album}

Rachel + Jeremy {Loveland Esession}

Rachel and Jeremy are a sweet couple I get to work with and photograph a couple weeks ago. They were easy to work with and such a happy couple and great sports throughout the photo session. They chose to have their engagement photos taken at the site where they are going to get married at, in July. I was happy when I arrived there - it was a very nice location with the gorgeous Colorado backdrop/views. I won't doubt that their wedding would be nice and I am looking forward to it! :)

Brianna {Denver Quinceanera 03.10.2010}

I had the fun + honor of photographing my first Quinceanera ever last week at Brianna's Quinceanera. In some Latin American traditions, it is a coming of age ceremony held on a girl's fifteenth birthday, comparable to a Sweet Sixteen celebration here in America (ref: Wikipedia). So Brianna's parents Jessica and David threw her a big party for her to celebrate her becoming a young woman.

It was young, fun and festive - reminded me when my own parents threw me a birthday party for me around this age to celebrate my birthday.

Anyways, I said it before but I'll say it again - Feliz Cumpleanoz Brianna! Here's to a beautiful young woman! :)

Whitney | Studio Workshop Part 2

The second part of a studio workshop I attended from a few weeks ago - high-key/low-key lighting fashion shots with a beautiful model Whitney. Shooting with this kind of setting and model(s) really made me feel like shooting for the America's Next Top Model! :) Definitely a lot of fun and hopefully I get to play more with studio setting in the future. Baby Chloe | Studio Workshop Part 1

A few days ago I had the chance to attend a studio workshop in Denver with some hands-on experience. Great crowd, great sessions, awesome models and volunteers - the event was hosted by the Mile High Photographers network here in Colorado. We learned and shot four sessions that day with different models to photograph.

The first session I shot was a baby session. Chloe was so cute in her tutu dress, everyone went "awww" when we saw her mom brought her in to model for us :) She's super cute, easygoing and such a sweetheart! Check these out! ;)

A Sweet First Year

About this late that night, a year ago - I couldn't sleep. I was feeling nervous, very happy and excited... so excited - it was so tough to rest my brain and make myself asleep. In a few hours, I was going to put on that beautiful lacey, off-white dress I had been wanted to wear. And just to think about the man I was going to start a new journey with, made my heart melt. On top of all these frenzies, I was a little anxious hoping and praying that everything we've (read: I've) planned for the last few months would go smoothly!

...And it did. Joe and I were married last year on March 22nd at around noon - it was a beautiful and a very, very good day for both of us :) We were so in love, happy and excited being married to each other.

Fast forward, here we are... It's just so hard to believe that it has been a year. One whole year of married life! I can't say that everything was all roses, wines and chocolates but I'm so blessed to be married to Joe - to love and be loved by him and couldn't ask for a better husband. Happy 1st Anniversary, My Love! I'm looking forward to many more....

Tammy + Harold {Las Vegas Wedding 03.06.2010}

Harold is in love with a married woman - the woman he has been married to for a decade. Tammy and Harold, on March 6th, 2010, renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married 10 years ago and never really had big celebration of a wedding day, so they always wanted to be able to do this and have a wedding photographer to take pictures for them. Well, suffice to say that I was privileged to be able to do this for them :)

Both Harold and Tammy wear their wedding rings from ten years ago, but Tammy got him another ring here, as shown on the picture - to commemorate their ten-years anniversary.

Although I didn't actually get to photograph the ceremony at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino (they have their in-house photographer & videographer) - I hung out with them pre and post-ceremony.

Just by spending a few hours with them together, I can feel that this couple is so much in love with each other - I didn't feel that they're there to renew their vows after ten years but it was just their wedding day, period. They are just so sweet and gentle with one another. It made me smile just to see the glimpse of their loving relationship.

Congrats Tammy and Harold - I enjoyed meeting and spending a few hours with both of you in Vegas. Thanks for the honor of letting me photograph you - I wish you more love in your marriage in the next decades!

WPPI 2010

As I mentioned on my last post - I attended the WPPI 2010 (stands for Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) in Las Vegas, NV for about 5 days since last week. It was my second time attending after 2008. WPPI is the largest annual convention and trade show in the world for photographers. It's amazing to see a plethora of people came from all over the world - male/female, old and young with different levels of expertise and different numbers in business... all come with the purposes of learning, networking, finding new ideas for the business...so on, so forth.

The convention was held in the MGM Grand Conference Center, located right on the Las Vegas' strip.

I personally had such a great time there - met several new people and saw a few old friends, learned a lot from different speakers and got inspired with new, fresh ideas. Did I mention that people were so friendly and open about sharing their knowledge - I just simply love this industry!

I took a few quick snaps of few amazing speakers of WPPI while they were sharing their knowledge:

Joe Buissink - I believe he was talking here about how you need to sync your mind and machine when you photograph a wedding... such a passionate speaker.

The absolutely fab Jasmine Star - I heart her for who she is and her styles!

Cliff Mautner - I appreciate his useful insights on lighting and moments on a wedding day.

...even Marilyn Monroe (ala Vegas) came to one of our classes to sing "Happy Birthday WPPI" to commemorate WPPI 30th year anniversary :)

...and an old friend, Livia Chandra from Los Angeles, CA.

And of course, my dear hubs came along with me to the convention.

We all know that Vegas is a casino-state...I'm not much of a gambler, but I do enjoy playing slots machine once in a while ;) and they are available everywhere, even at the airport.

When we were waiting for our flight back at Vegas' airport, I saw an interesting guy with a funny-panda hat on... so I pulled my camera out and sneaked in a photo there ;) pshh, if you know him - don't tell him I put his pic up on my blog ;)

Well, that's all for now. Basically, Joe and I had such a great time and learned a whole bunch. It was eventful, inspiring, incredible and at the same time exhausting! (in a good way, though) :) So long WPPI - hope to see you again next year! :)

Fun, Food and A Wedding

Those who know me personally and are close to me, knew that I am a HUGE fan of sushi. As a matter of fact, I just heart Japanese food in general. While my husband Joe likes a grilled cheese sandwich as his comfort food, I would take sushi anytime to console me over a bad day...or any days, actually. And with my limited sushi-making-mad-skills I gained during my waitressing-days in college; I make them quite often at the comfort of my own home! :)

Along with my other fellow photographers across the nation - we are excitedly prepping to attend the annual photography conference in MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada. All I can think of now is that we re all going to have a load of fun - learning, eating good food, networking, eating good food, meeting those well-known photographer-celebrities, enjoying warmer weather, and did I said eating good food? ;) I can barely wait!

On top of that, I'll be photographing a destination wedding in Vegas this weekend too. I mean, it's like the cake tastes so good already, now I'm getting the cherry on top of the cake. Seriously, it'll be a full package of great times!
